Doctor Who Convention

Wales Millennium Centre (24th and 25th March 2012)

The announcement marks the first time the BBC has organised such an event since the show’s return to television screens in 2005. It is also the first BBC-organised Doctor Who convention for nearly thirty years.

Tickets for the Official Doctor Who Convention – which is being billed as the “Ultimate Doctor Who Fan Event” – are being limited to 1,500 tickets for each of the two days, and the programme will be the same on each day.

The Katherine Jenkins Daydream tour

The record-breaking, multi-platinum selling mezzo-soprano has announced the UK Daydream theatre tour for 2012. Taking in 21 cities across the UK, Katherine will be performing up close and personal for her first theatre tour in three years.

The tour celebrates the release of her latest album, 'Daydream', on October 10th.

Cardiff Wins Music Showcase Bid

Cardiff is delighted to host the annual gathering of the world music industry, Womex, in October 2013. Up to 60 concerts featuring more than 300 artists will be held at the Wales Millennium Centre.

The fully programmed, prestigious international showcase event includes 57 concerts of 450 artists, a trade fair with 280 stands and over 650 exhibiting companies, as well as more than 400 national and international journalists. This could be the first year of a possible two year deal.
