A Space in the City for New Recruits

Wales' largest provider of luxury serviced apartments, A Space in the City, has boosted its team with the appointment of two new recruits.

The company, which provides spacious serviced apartment accommodation, on both a short or long term basis to corporate and leisure clients, is expanding into Swansea from its base in the Capital.

Laura Dommett, 21, from Swansea will take on the role of Swansea Portfolio Manager responsible for taking care of guests in the company's Swansea properties.

She explained, "My role is to take care of the guest from the time they arrive, by assisting with any enquiries and providing them with high standards of hospitality and service throughout their stay."

Formally Reception Manager at Telford Golf and Country club, Laura has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. 

She commented, "I am sure that my experience of working in a busy hotel environment will be a great asset in maintaining the excellent standards for which A Space in the City has become known. I am looking forward to helping to grow the portfolio of Swansea properties.

Joining the Cardiff-based team as Reservations Consultant is 25 year-old Ashton Turner from Cardiff.

Commenting on his new role, Ashton, who also plays football for Dinas Powys FC, said, "My job role requires me to turn enquiries into bookings. I am also responsible for keeping our rates competitive and analysing market trends. I see my role as helping to ensure the company retains its position in the forefront of this exciting new industry."

Ashton has spent much of his career working in the property sector and his experience includes everything from property development to lettings.

He said, "I am looking forward to being a part of the company as it undergoes an exciting period of growth. Serviced apartments are becoming more and more popular, and A Space in the City is known for being a leader in the field."

Richard Godfrey, Managing Director commented, "Both Laura and Ashton are key appointments within the team, and their fresh ideas will be valued.
