Re:locate: More good news for UK serviced accomodation sector
11/09/11
Recent figures released by the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) suggest that the serviced accomodation sector has maintained its strong performance in the second quarter of 2011. ASAP, which represents over 9,000 apartments spread across 44 member companies, revealed that overall occupancy in London during the period was 87%, with June in particular delivering a very high occupation figure of 92%.
This overall occupancy rate was accompanied by an average net weekly rental rate of £962, up almost 5% on last year's figure. That growth has been echoed in the rest of the UK, where average weekly rental reached £622, compared to £594 in the second quarter of 2010.
The growth will come as further good news for the serviced accomodation sector, which already reported promising first quarter figures earlier in the year.
